We have a wonderful archive of photographs collected over many years. It is a valuable contribution to the social history of Yoxall and Gill Brown has done a brilliant job of organizing and preserving it.

The oldest photos we have are these two. The earlier one shows Mrs Ritchie (centre) who was President of Yoxall WI 1922-32 and 1934-37.

The other belonged to Mrs Francis Page. It was taken on a visit by Yoxall WI to Liverpool on 25th June, 1935, and included Mrs Page and Barbara Lester. 4th from the left was Mrs Roe from Wood Mill and 2nd from the right in the dark clothes was possibly Mrs Jennings, the schoolmaster's wife. Left of Mrs Jennings and just behind her, was Mary Lester, later Mary Baughan. Next to her with the white dress in the centre of the photo is her sister, Isabel 'Belle' House.  Can anyone name any of the other ladies on this trip?

If anyone has any other pre-1960 photographs connected with Yoxall WI, please get in touch by clicking this link.

We have literally hundreds of photos from the 1960s onwards.
Below are just a few examples which will be added to over the coming months (or possibly years!). Long-standing members can enjoy memories of old friends and happy occasions while new members can try to spot younger versions of those same long-standing members! (Names have not been included at present but will be in future where possible).

We even have a 1965 photo of one of the village cricket teams!
